you can put the dohc zc head on a sohc block, just takes minor machining to do so... someone here on honda-tech did it, but imo its not worth it

yes a single cam will but the dohc will not and withe zc sohc bein vtec yoy will need some wiring done to wire up the vtec and i think you will need a oil line kit for the vtec because a non vtec block has different oil ports and thus vtec is valve timing w/electronic control it needs more oil to the head to make up for the extra work vtec does get it i will learn youu
dude get to know what ur talking bout b4 u just tell someone some stuff u dont know about there are three differant kinds of zc's and one of them was vtec and it was single cam then there is a dohc non vtec see they are all considered d series but a dohc wont bolt to a sohc block so maybe u just wanted to be a douch or u wer tired or sumfin but if u knew that just take a couple of min's to explain urself b4 u get all profesionalized on us thnx
i hope you arent telling me i dont know about zc.
i have a sohc NO VTEC
i have a dohc NO VTEC
and the zc comes vtec in both forms. its just the jap D series.
Why dont you do YOUR homework before telling someone they dont know what they are talking about.

takes a little more than what most people would consider minor machining, but it can be done

Okay.
Find me a picture of a DOHC VTEC engine with a "ZC" block stamp.
