Default Question Re: B16 A/C Mount

I have a 99 DX Hatch with a '00 Si B6A2 installed.

My problem is the A/C mount does not match up to the DX's Compressor. I have heard that the mount from a del Sol VTEC will work, but I am not too sure of this.

Does anyone have the answer? Yes, I want to keep my a/c..being hot sucks no matter how fast I go. I thank you in advance,
~Sleepin'

does your original ac bracket have an enigne mount on it? the del sol one should do the trick. If anyone has two of them, I need one also.

i had this problem before, i have a b16a2 in my 97 dx coupe, i'm using my stock ac compressor using an integra ac bracket(p72 maybe???). now the bracket bolts up fine to the block, but the compressor will bolt to the bracket with only 2 bolts.
they're aligned fine. i have no problems so far. i dont really know the difference between a delsol vtec ac bracket (p54) and 99-00 si (p30). hope this helps

If you want to have your AC comprssor bolt up like OEM you need to use a '94-'95 DOHC VTEC Del Sol AC bracket (P54). This applies to '92-'00 Civics except the '99-'00 Si.

The '99-'00 Si uses an 'Integra style' AC compressor and the P30 bracket like the '94-'01 Integra.

Thanks everyone, I will be getting the del Sol bracket. I wasn't sure on it til now. Right now my A/C is bolted to the Si bracket by two bolts (it was ok for wintertime) and now I need to get it done right.

Thanks again!

i learned my lesson today, i was using an integra bracket on my b16a2 swap, i have a 97 dx stock compressor anyways i was working ok for about a week. today
i opened the hood and saw the compressor hanging, the 2 bolts that was holding it broke. now i dont have ac, i just took the whole thing off. i have to save up for a p54 bracket and ac freon. i should have use a p54 from the beggining. that sucks!!!!!
