Default Bad IACV...need quick fix

Well...as far as i know my IACV is bad...it idles at 800...and then goes to 2000 and drops and then 2000 and drops...back and forth...i need a quick fix for this...and a cheap/free one too. I need to pass emissions in MA but they do an emissions idle test and it wont pass with this idle...or does someone have a good one they can send me? or can i clean it? or can i test a junkyard one while im in the yard so i know its good?

HELP PLEASE!

hey there,
i had the same problem on my 98 gsr. come to find out it wasn't the iacv at all. The guy i bought it from thought that the stop screw for the butterfly was the idle screw. after trying everything including swapping out iacv from junk yards, my mechanic told me to check out the stop screw and what do you know, that was the problem. have you tried cleaning it? take it off and spray out the screen with carb cleaner. make sure you dry it off completly before reinstalling. then reset ecu and see if that worked. i'm using one off a b16. the bolts lined up and the plug was the same. no problems after 6 months. good luck!
