I have heard of Koni's leaking from the top of the shock shaft where the adjuster is. A little moisture is normal, but drips & runs are not. Try to see if this IS where the oil is coming from. Hopefully CRX Lee will catch this thread & give you his professional opinion. If he doesn't respond in a few hours, shoot him a PM (he's our local H-T Koni rep)...

WOW! That's a pretty good eye. He's absoloutly correct. You have the washers on upside down. With them like that, the edges of the washer will destroy the bushing. It's a pretty common mistake...

just fixed em.... good news.....bushings aren't ripped or damaged. Thanks again!

 

If the shocks are leaking the oil should go down... not up to the top mounts. Take off the wheels and check the shock bodies for oil residue. You're probably not running dust seals/boots so it should be easy to see of the shaft seal is leaking.

 

Wipe the oil down at the top and check the rate at which the oil is returning but I do think it is likely that the O-ruing under the adjuster tab is leaking a bit if it returns. Although I can't see volume, that does look like shock oil.

I noticed the cup washer being upside down as well and that can casue bushing bind and premature wear out of the bushing but the others beat me to it.

Wipe 'em down and check the rate of return. If it comes back pretty quickly, contact Bob or Stoney in Koni Tech at 859-586-4100 option 6 and it would be good to have a copy of your purchase receipt and registration available to get the ball rolling.

They don't really seem to do that in here. I can't remember the last thread I saw get locked in the suspension forum...
