well i had a question regaurding my quartermile times/mph in relation to a highspeed race...I dont recommend it but this is killing and i have to ask...My friend has a d16z6 with i/h/e clutch msd chipped computer, i have a gsr motor with i/h/e skunk2 manifold,s2s2's,chipped computer. I clock 14.4@97-98 and my friends z6 will only muster a 15.9@88-89 and his car is a 95 4 door civic. One day leaving the track we decided to do a quick freeway run. We downed it we both went into second i quickly pulled 1-2 cars...but 3rd gear i could only pull away another 1...by 4th gear i had a total of 4-5 cars...after that i couldnt shake em...i wanted to just vanish into the night but it wasnt happening...i was stuck at speedometer reading 130 and my speedo reads 110 when i am only trapping 98. What could be a cause of my car not having any highend? Thanks for reading

 

iono man maybe you need to get your car tuned, cuz when i was driving to LA in a BMW X5 I had the pedal to the floor trying to catch up with this mustang, I was doing like 130-140mph almost maxed out the speedo but the mustang still have like 10-15 cars on me, and SHE must have been going like 150-160

but here in hawaii we dont have illegal drag races...for some reason our form of racing is freeway racing and its big. theres no one on the roads from 3:30-4:30 in the morning so its all out topend racing. I have seen cars going as fast as those two letters near the omph mark that say NS on a eg cluster. This was with a sohc vtec on the bottle. I have also seen it done with b16 motors but i was just wondering how can a sohc v all motor keep up with my gsr that has more mods and is faster than his in a acceleration contest
