Default Hondata Reflash VS K-Pro

hey im trying to decide wether to get reflash or k-pro for a 06 type s
i am not planning to do and heavy modding
jus c.a.i
catback exhaust and i was thinking the reflash

plus the k-pro is alot more money$$$$$$
but is it safe to have a car with stock internals to be running off a hondata cpu i mean am i risking screwing up the engine?
with reflash cai and exhaust i should be around 220 hp right?

As far as I know, Hondata does not offer a Hondata #4 reflash for the 05-06 RSX. However, they do offer K-Pro on a 02-04 ECU piggybacked to your stock ECU.

K-Pro is pricey but it will be worth it. Hondata #4 is calibrated for CAI only. Add a race header and exhaust and your car will run lean. With K-pro, you can tune on the fly and get it adjusted to your car and specific mods. Most of my friends have had Hondata #4 and use it as a stepping stone to K-pro. K-pro is a must as your mods progress to extract the most power.

This info is off the top of my head. You should visit hondata's website to make sure they don't offer a #4 reflash.

To put it bluntly, no you will not run into problems running the Hondata Reflash. Some people have complained of slight knocking, but that was only 1 person out of the bunch.

K-Pro (since you have to tune it, not like the set-and-forget reflash) can mess up your engine if tuned incorrectly. K-Pro offers a lot more features such as datalogging (recording what the sensors see), Launch control (for drag/track racing) and a slue of others. Since we (yes Im stuck in the same 2006 boat) have to convert it does get pricy.

Used 2002-2004 Type-S ECU is about $200-250 (got mine for $225)
Primary o2 sensor from a 2002-2004 type-s is about $130-$220 (got mine for $130)
and the CHEAPEST Hondata dealer will charge for K-Pro & the adaptor harness we need is $829. So a grand later and you still have to pay for tuning (if you dont trust yourself).

I probably should have gone with a Reflash since Im not going to be doing anything major either, but I just want the damn launch control hehe.

its balloons to a blimp. The reflash is meant for I/H/E so you can give it a shot i guess.

I have the Hondata Reflash in my 05 Type-S. It's definitely worth it if your going to stay with the bolt-ons.
