CEL came on the other day, so I took the R over to my mechanic, and he put it on the diagnostic, results showed that my secondary O2 sensor is shot.

Is the secondary O2 sensor the same for all the integras? or are they all car specific. I managed to find a used one, but I'm not sure if it is from a Type R. The shop that sold it to me said it was.

Lastly, where is the clip located inside the car for the secondary O2 sensor. Do I have to remove any of the console to get at it?

What code did you throw? Are you sure it's not your cat?

 

My mechanic said, either my cat is punched, or my O2 sensor is gone, but he is almost positive that the sensor is toast. I live in Toronto Canada.

I store the car during the winter, so I think that the condensation build up corroded my sensor.
