I had my five lug installed over the weekend but im encountering two problems.
1. Whenever the wheel starts moving you can hear a sound as if the rotor were being rubbed up against.
2. Whenever the car increases speed the steering wheel starts wobbling rapidly
I was told that im going to need new rotors as well as new ball joints which are causing my steering wheel to shake crazily. Does anyone have any helpful input as to where i can purchase these parts. Right now i cant afford slotted rotors so i just wanna replace the stock ones if thats what i need to do as well as the ball joints.

If you heard the sound right after you installed it, then the sound is just the rust being rubbed off.

Im guessing two things. either the axles are out or your alignments are off.

If the tires start shaking during acceleration only, it could be bad inner CV joints, or a bad wheel bearing. You should jack the car up & have someone shake each tire (up/down & left/right) while you look for loose suspension bolts & bad tie rods or balljoints...
If the tires shake at speed weather your accelerating or not, it is most likely poor wheel balance, or a damaged wheel. Have the wheel inspected at a tire shop.
A little swoosh noise is comon from disc brakes as the rotors turn. If the noise is loud and embarasing, then chances are somthing is wrong. Did you make sure to do a complete brake job on your new parts. Brakes do NOT store well in junk yards. The rotors tend to rust beyond repair, and the calipers can sieze up making them useless. It is always necissary to do a complete brake job when you buy used suspension (unless it's fresh off a car you've ridden in)...
PS: Always get a 4 wheel alignment after suspension work...

i guess the best thing to do is just jack back up the car and check everything out

the tire doesnt shake but the steering wheel does. we bled the brakes and that was about it, i dont believe a full brake job was performed. i dont believe its the tie rod but i guess my best bet is to take to a tire shop and have em check it out.

Could be your bearings. I picked up my project EK from my friend who totally didn't know what he was doing. He drove around on bad bearings which messed everything up big time. The hub bearings ended up wearing away at the hub, which caused the brake rotors to start wobbling and rubbing against the calipers. I ended up having to replace the axle, hub, hub bearing, rotors, pads, and calipers ON BOTH SIDES. It's a good thing I work at a automotive parts warehouse, so I got everything dirt cheap otherwise it would've costed me a grip load of cash.
Another thing to check is the rims and tires. Make sure you have clearance under the fender. If it's a metalic rubbing sound, you may want to check the back spacing of the rim. Might be rubbing against the upper A arm. Also, if then rims isn't sitting flat agains the rotor, it will cause vibrations while driving and will damage your bearings.

Most people have this problem, just use a flat head screw driver and pull it away from the disc. you sure you use the RIGHT AXLE?
