Ok, i don't know what this is..
Iv'e seen an engine bay with a short ram intake. Ok i'm going to sound a little weird here but hey i'll never know if i don't ask.. well i seen an engine bay with a short ram intake and you know how the air line goes to the head? (stock) that connects to the intake? well there was no line (modified) ...just a really small pod filter that came out of the head...why is there a really small filter sticking out of the head and what does it acheive?

It vents blowby to the atmosphere, rather than burning it. Usually used in conjunction with some sort of catch can setup.
