Any thouhgts on which one would be better suited for a street driven daily driver.Don't want to harsh a ride,car is a 91 crx with a b16 with stock wheels and tires.

 

I'm also looking for some comments on the Skunk2 Full coilovers. or

 

no experience with skunk2 coil overs, but i love my omni sports. Pretty harsh for street though, but i like it.. i'd recommend you get the streets.

 

sorry, this isn't scientific, but i would never put any bunk2 product on my car.

even if it's a decent product, their customer service is so terrible that they don't deserve anyone's business. the product itself, if they're anything like the skank2 sleeves, will be harsh and of shoddy quality. and $5 says they're underdamped too...

 

actually my buddy has skunk2 on his car the full pro series setup and it rides amazing.. so i dunno what he is talkin about

 

So Omni makes one for street and one for race?

I have the adjustable omni coilovers on my eg, 10k/8k. THe car handles very well on all dampening settings. I ride everyday with it on setting 2 of 6. IT is still a pretty stiff ride, but tolerable.

 

I think I'm gonna go with the Omni's

 

i run skunk2 and love them. even considering my car sits fairly low. most people never space the sleeves between the strut and that is why there so rough, but that could apply to many coilovers

 

id choose skunk2 pro series suspension over omni power....rides better but omni is a little cheaper thats all,

So the street coilovers would be a smoother ride?Correct?

 

i'd go with the skunk2's...i've had experience with the omni 6way adj full coilovers and they sucked ***....

 

my bro has skunk2 they are not that great and also my firend has omni and i say they ride better

 

go with omni because they say that their skocks are similar to koni shocks

i love 'em, i took a lil while getting used to but i'm really satisfied with them

The OMNI suspension my friend has rides pretty rough, and doesn't handle all that well.

I've never ridden in a car with the Skunk2 coilovers, besides the sleeve type, but from experience with my friends OMNI's, I'd stay away.

NEX seems to make a decent coilover, and it's adjustable with the shock body, so you don't lose suspension travel.

only if skunk2 provided people with r&d's # there customer service and skunk2 product support is great. Good Luck.

Why don't you ask NEX about their excessive coilover failures on BMW's?

 

Great thread.I'm looking for suspension for my civic coupe.I was debating between skunk 2 and omni's as well.After reading this thread and a few others...and based on my wallet,I'm going to go with the omnis and hopefully should have them by aig.Sou ds like the omni's will be the best bang for my buck.
