Iam trying to lighten up me 91 dx crx some and have heard that the 88-89 crx doors are lighter due to the lack of the door mounted belts. Is it just the interior door panel and belt that makes it weight 10-15lbs heavier per door? Any 88-89 crx door would fit a 91' crx right?
yes its true,, the doors with the seatbelts mounted on them are alot heavier..they have a steal beam/frame inside the door....
not sure if the 88 or 89 crx door will fit the others,,never tried it..but i heard the 88 door is different...again im not sure

I thought I heard that you can use 88-89 doors on a 90-91; but not the other way around. I did a search and found a post where some guy got rid of the door mounted bolts but had to do welding and other diy stuff. If I have to do all that it isn't worth it.
They ARE lighter but i dont think they will line up because the 90-91's have a thicker C-Pillar on the door to support the heavier seat belt and the 88-89's dont... but it MIGHT work...
