just bought an accord need some help
i just bought a 91 accord ex sedan, and it blows hot through the vents, the ac lines udner the hood get really cold, and inside its hot, even with the ac off today was 65 degree it was blowing really hot, any idea what it could be?
check your water valve

#1 in the picture. Make sure that it is closing completely when you set the unit to A/C and the temp know to full cold.
They are like $45 from the dealer
Personally, I would take the valve off and check for proper operation and to make sure that the insides are not rotted out ( a common problem) and if the valve is functional, then you need to check and make sure that the cable is opening and closing the valve and if it is not, you are gonna have an expensive repair (bad control unit)

in engine bay, at firewall, lower center turn the inside **** from hot to cold and make sure that the cable is moving all the way on both ends,, if it closes and opens the valve fully you got a bad valve ..
also chk the **** , make sure it is not broken and just spinning around the shaft without moving the lever,, pull the **** out and chk it, ,, if broken replace it before you do anything else..
