Anyone have a pic of their 4th Gen with racing seats installed?
I've seen many pics of 5th gens but barely any of 4th gens. Im looking to install some, and I'm just wanting to get an idea of the finished product. Any help would be great.

thats the only thing that threw me off about the shifter I just thought it look pretty beefy. I want some pics of real racing seats cause my seats are worn to hell. But yeah the 4th gen stock seats are pretty kickass
what do you mean by racing seats????
the seats in his car are pretty much what other sport seats are going to look like
if you are getting REAL racing seats.......they are usually very thin, made of aluminum and almost have no padding (i doubt you will be this hardcore for a daily driver) and real racing seats are almost worth more than your prelude.
please be more specific. if you are just going recaro, bride, sparco etc, the pics above will do.

i have JDM prelude si vtec and want to make prelude Type R out of it. so red sport seats are in my list
my friend who is a professional racer, is importing EK9 civic Type R from japan for 1600cc class track racing. ofcourse he is taking everything out and puting all that FIA omologated stuff: seats, steering wheel and everything. ill try to get my hands on his type r seats and steering wheel. will be nice for prelude type r project. my car is black and red color looks sick on a black car IMO

oh noes........another type r prelude
anyways do whatever you want to do, but civic seats (whether it be type r or stock) are not racing seats.

edit: the same goes for cobra, corbeau, omp, momo etc

oh boy, another "Type-R" prelude. Just what we needed to improve public appearance of 4th gen drivers.
are you gonna put an 8" wing on it, too?

no im not putting a spoiler. but why its so annoying if anybody wants to make type r mods to his car? it will be clean, not rice with just custom lip. no big bumpers, no big spoilers. just a nice looking black lude with racing white wheels and red honda emblems type r seats and steering wheel. im realy sorry honda didnt build prelude type r, cuz i know it would beat CTR and ITR hands down (in fact, thats why they didnt build it).
yes recaro/all the others do make racing seats.
but i consider racing seats from these companies their upper line. the ones ppl actually put in their race cars and not daily drivers. i don't think the term "racing" seat applies to their "sport" seats because i think racing seats are the ones that have hans devices, etc.
you don't see recaro speeds/srd or the lower model sparco's in GT racing/le mans/etc. you do see those companies but they are gonna put their actual racing seats in there and not the daily driver ones. its all symantics i'm talking about.

sure, FIA has homologation lis for everything that racing requires: cars, engines, gearboxes, seats, steering wheels, rimms, helmets, racing suits, gloves, everything. ofcourse, brands like sparco and recaro have racing seats with FIA homologation (homologated seats are not adjustable, they are fixed with full support and its very uncomfortable to drive in this seats daily. you are so close to the steering wheel) and they also make seats for daily drivers with different levels of "sportiness".
