Default *sigh* My car is feeling ill...........

When I stop and put it in first itll start to stall.... Started 2 weeks ago. At first I thought my dumbass was off the clutch, but nope...... Bleh.

My ignition keyhole thingy keeps getting stuck. Stuck meaning, Ill take the key out--yet the car will act like its still in there IE: When door opens, itll beep... Cant use keyless entry Blah blah. I gotta stick the key in again to get it unstuck. I checked it and its clean, like nothings stuck in there.

My gas gauge thing....... Driving to projekts house usually takes up less than 1/5 tank. Well, not really but something like that. Basically--Not too much. On Sunday morning before Eibach..... My tank was full. I go to projekts and Im down to almost half a tank! So I fill up there, head to Autobacs-then irvine-then Corona..... After the meet projekt and I head to Garden Grove for lunch.. Then I go back up to LA... Thats almsot 200 miles.... I think. And I still have 3/4 tank left. GRR!!!!!!!!

My car is dying. Is it because Im not buying him enough Mugen? Should I get more??

HAHA just kidding! Seriously though, this sucks. I work 72+hrs a week, so I dont think I have time to take him to the stealership either.

PS: AND I lost my bumper plugs. GRR!x2

My car did the exact same thing when my dumbass forgot to plug the vtec solenoid back in after I changed the oil. Took a few revolutions of turning the car on, driving it and shutting it off until it was behaving normally again. Doesn't seem to be your problem (unless you did the same thing recently....), but it was the same symptom.

Is the car actually using up all that gas or is the guage not reporting the correct level? When you filled up, did you fill up 5+ gallons when it showed half full?

It sounds like your instrument cluster is acting up since it controls the beeping when the door is ajar and the key is still in the ignition as well as the fuel level (duh). You could have a short somewhere in the electical system. Any recent modifications?

Gauge aint right. I just found my receipt for the gas... After projekts I put in 2.9 gallons. That seems about right for the distance to his house...... But my gauge was reading a little over 1/2 tank full, and we all know an S does not have a 6gal tank.

No recent mods.....

Maybe my car is just throwing a tantrum so I buy it more presents.

Or:

(11:19 AM 5/9/2006) FR-MOB: Chubzilla: beb i think your s2 has the bird flu
(11:32 AM 5/9/2006) FR-MOB: Beb: Really? I was leaning more towards SARS.......
(11:33 AM 5/9/2006) FR-MOB: Chubzilla: no, it might have an STD

Serious note-- Bleh. I guess Ill just have to find time somehow to go to the dealership. Work PWNZ me but itll be better than running out of gas at night in LA while my gauge reads full or something. =T

This happened to me to, at first i thought the same thing i was just being dumbass and letting off the clutch.

Then i found a service bulletin that covered this subject.

PROBABLE CAUSE

During hard acceleration, engine vibrations may cause
shifting of the contacts at the MAP sensor. This may
cause wear that changes the resistance of the
connection at the MAP sensor.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace the MAP sensor, and install the MAP sensor
holder.

PARTS INFORMATION

MAP Sensor and Holder Kit:
P/N 06176-PCX-000, H/C 7868599
Tie Wrap:
P/N 32125-PCX-003, H/C 7868607
NOTE: One tie wrap is included in the MAP sensor and
holder kit. A replacement tie wrap is needed only if the
MAP sensor is disconnected during a later repair.

Since i installed the map sensor i haven't felt the near stall problem.

as for the gas thing...

You should stay away then. If you touch it, he may blow up. Then Beb will definitely kill you and then take your S to replace hers

Meh.. Raynard and Christie are a couple. If Raynard blows up, I'm gonna drive Christie into a cliff, then crush them both into one huge metal ball and bury them...
