is a type r clutch the exact same as a gsr clutch (refering to stock clutches)??

are they the same as a civic si clutch??

basically I am wondering if I can get a clutch at the honda dealer where I can get a better deal than at the acura dealership...

You can oreder "Acura" parts through the Honda dealer because they are really Honda parts. Call your acura dealer and get the part # and then call Honda and I bet you they will be less. **** just email h-t member Mike K and he will hook you up.
