Well fri night, my integra decides to make some horrible clanking noise as i shift and then my car smokes up. i pull over and look under the hood and theres oil everywhere in the engine bay, but the motor is still running. i turn her off and get a tow home. i took a look and the oil filter and the drain bolts seem to be there. im not entirely sure what happened, i think maybe one of the oil lines tore off? there is a extreme amount of oil in the bay, it covers the underside of my hood, it has stopped leaking since saturday night.

anyways i took this as a sign of my 130k b18c1 motors call to be set free and relieved of its duties.

im not too upset but frustrated, this is my daily driver car. so i just wanted some advice or suggestions on what to do about getting a new motor.

ive thought about many things, but i havent kept up with the latest swaps. I had a friend mentioned a k20z3 or k20a2 swap, and others suggested a rebuild. or maybe i should just part it out and buy a whole new car completly like the 06 si

car has many mods on it already, incl supercharger and almost every ext bolt on you can think of.

 

part out..... sell me the supercharger.... and upgrade to the 06 si.....

 

comparing the cost of a new motor to the cost of a new car is a no brainer.

and this forum will be the first to know on a part out, i just might sell the whole car as is and buy a new one anyways.

now i gotta find a good shop in the NW that can check it out and possible do a rebuild/swap for me. then i guess ill measure my options.

i already wanted to buy a new car, i am ok with financing one. i just think it would be nice to do a k20 swap+supercharger in the integra.
