Default 13.8! Impossible

Hey HT. I ran my Civic For the first time friday: I ran a 13.8. The first thing I thought was this car is fast... but 13.8? I was only able to fit another run in but I was redlighted, and being my 4th time total running at the track, I waited 2 seconds along with the guy next to me because of confusion and ran a 16. Did the track mess up or did the previous owner of the car do something to the motor that I don't know about? MY guess is he put a thinner head gasket. The motor dosent have enough bottom-end torque to have Type-R pistons, even though its time disproves this.

I will scan my slips as soon as I get this scanner running. Please don't trash talk because I didn't post to see it. I posted to get some ideas on what happened, and which headers I should buy which won't bother my AC or Crossmember.

Cecil County Dragway, Maryland 5/5/06
Temp: 63
Relative Humidity: 29
Absolute Baro: 28.83

Heres what the slip reads until I scan it: (Me vs some pickup)

1000 14.045 14.632

LEFT:872 RIGHT:871 (1st run!!! Me vs My friends gutted and mildly modded DA integra)

I think the track messed up. There's no way you pulled a 1.2 60ft time.

A 230whp civic EF, gutted, with slicks, best I've seen was 1.6 60ft. Your slip is wrong, sorry dude.

1.7 60 ft. look like this. I'm sure whatever you have, doesn't pull like that.

You also ran your 13.8 at under 100 trap....

Stuff is just not adding up at all.

ok the 13.8 I do believe but the 60 ft is not to believe. the reason I believe the 13.8 because I ran my buddy's CRX with a b16 short intake, and DC header no slicks and full interior. thats what I got.

Wow, I was so happy for a couple hours... I guess its just a myth. I am running bald tires....

If anyone knows how to get these Canon Lide 20 drivers working I would be more than happy.

If you would of read, I waited at the tree for a good 2 seconds (I counted)

One other thing, why would all the times add up except the 60'? - For some reason I believe the slip except for the 60' (not because its mine-ha), I counted at least 2 seconds when I was redlighted. My slips are almost 2 seconds apart on most of the times. That and if a b18b can run a 2.- 60' then a b16 in a positively lighter chassis with modifications can run less...

How low is the car? Sometimes extremely low cars wont trip the lights until late giving you a "headstart", that would explain the 60 foot. With 95mph trap speeds, you are still capable of low 14's easy though.
