I heard that a RSX cluster any Type S or Type R would fit in a EK need Help with the Wiring tho any suggestions in making it work things i need to buy or a DIY payed 20 bucks for a TYPE R rsx Cluster dont want to sell looks good

who knows. his friend might have crashed the car. i get a lot of cheap parts on craigslist due to car accidents and people just parting their car out etc

 

I'm working on the pinouts to put a Type S instrument cluster in my Del Sol. I'll let ya know how that turns out. I'm just labeling pinouts and wires one by one and converting them using the Helms for an RSX and one for a Del Sol. Shouldn't be too hard. The only issue is the Odometer.

right even if his friend did crash his car, who would sell it for 20 bucks, I sure wouldn't sell it to my bestfriend for 20 bucks, I would rather put it on ebay or something..

think about it, right.. people parting out there cars...

When I was wiring mine up I ran into a problem with the Speedometer, which turns out they use completely different signals. My tach also lagged. If I blipped the throttle you'd hear the motor rev and start to drop and then the tach would go up and fall down.

I head about that also. I'm still searching for the remedy.

About a year ago some guys had come up with something, but I lost intrest and stopped following it.

Something about the civic VSS sending an analog signal and the RSX cluster needing a digital signal, or something of those sorts.

Kind of like the issue people run into when trying the S2K cluster swap. Someone will eventually figure the signal problem out.

They already have. You can probably have them work out something for the RSX-S cluster too since they both sport a similar VSS.

I have given people I dont know good deals. Sometimes ebay or a message board are hassles. I have sold basically brand new gauges for $10-15. Just didnt need it and sold it to the fastest buyer

This isn't a gauge, this is an RSX cluster... where if you put it on ebay for 100, it would be gone

I klnow the ******* difference between a guage cluster and an actual gauge. I have never sold a gauge cluster, but I have sold guages and other parts at a discount just to move the parts. Sure you can hold out for more money, but it is a hassle. And like I said, I would hook a friend up. Just because YOU wouldnt, doesnt make it stolen property.

 

I aint a theif lol anyways yea my friend had his whole car stolen so he took out the Cluster so they could pay for that too cuz i told him i'll give him 20 cuz he needed to pay the tow guy to get it 2 his house lol
