i just got a new clutch and synchros. still grinding 3 and 4. i was told that y1's will always grind but shifting 3rd can be difficult sometimes especially at high rpms. any suggestions? i thought about just buying a new gear altogether, but would that solve the problem?

 

i grind 2nd gear on my crx si. not sure why. Do i need to replace mtf?? or brake fluid

 

puttin in synchromesh might temporarily get rid of the grinds, it worked for me so far.. put on about 1kmiles with no grinds yet

 

i thought about that, but is that all you can do to get rid of it?

 

DO I PUT ALL SYNCROMESH OR HALF MTF. WHICH ONE DO REPLACE THE BRAKE FLUID FOR THE CLUTCH TRANNY FLUID. HOW DO I DRAIN FLUID AND WHERE DO I FILL UP TRANNY FLUID?? wHERE IS THE CONTAINER . IM NEW TO CRX .

 

thats pretty much all you can do without opening up the tranny

i wouldnt put half mtf in cus its a different weight oil then syncromesh..

 

GM syncromesh w/ friction modifier is around $13 a bottle and i need about 2.3 bottles to fill right??
