CRX non JDM power window conversion
I did some searching and didnt come up with much... Ive read in a few places 88-91 civic 4 door front regulators can be made to work in a crx with a few minor mods, anyone have a good build-up on this? saw something about the rear door armrest with switches will fit in a crx with no mods also??? I was also gonna install a viper 790xv alarm and have the window modules installed so I can roll the window up and down from the remote...anyone know if that requires any more factory relays or will the modules for the alarm take care of that problem??? Thanks

Try doing a "search" for the answer about if the USDM regulators and motors will work.
As for the alarm rolling up and down the windows; If you use DEI 529 window control modules you will not need additional relays. You will need 2 of the modules!
Each module works two "functions". Rolling up a window is one function, rolling down a window is another function. Each window has it's own "functions". So, rolling up two windows and rolling down two windows adds up to a total of four functions.
On my car, I used the "lock" output of the alarm to roll up the windows. If you used the "unlock" output to roll down the windows, then everytime you unlocked the car, both windows would roll down. Not a good idea if in a "bad" area of town!!!
If you want the "down" function to be one of the transmitter buttons, make sure the alarm can provide a grounding pulse for that function.
You NEED to check out "the12volt.com" web site!!!

thanks wes. I have a viper 790xv I will be using for my alarm. I hope I have all the parts, it was pulled out of my ex's accord when she sold it. It has window module relays part number DEI 610T. Any idea if these are the same?
Try to locate a factory web site for the viper 790 and down load all installation data (assuming you don't have the original installation manual).
Hopefully that will give you the information you need.
I looked up the DEI 610T's and they are nothing more than a version of the standard "Bosch" relay. They are NOT a "window control module". That's not to say that they could function with the viper to work the windows.
Normally, relays are not wired between the control module and the window motors due to a good control module having to sense the "current draw" to sense if the window is already rolled up. This can't be done (as far as I know) if relays are used.
