Man some of you guys jump to conclusions too fast and sound like a bunch ********. The JDM rear bumper does not have (or lack of) most of the part that he circled on that picture. So there is something the USDM bumper have that the JDM one doesn't.
Milan0Gsr, you can't find that piece to the bumper since it was made with it in the USDMarket. What you can do is, like 2kgs-R said, make a custom bracket for it, or do what I did; push your license plate in between the two tabs on the bottom and just drill/screw the bottom of your license plate there. That's what I did to my friend's JDM '98 rear bumper and his plate held up fine to this day

This is correct. the JDM plate is secured to the rear of the vehicle by a bracket that is bolted to the body of the car, not to the rear bumper. there is just a large hole where the USDMs have a plastic panel that u secure the LP to.

That's weird, both my JDM and USDM license plate bolts are secured only to the bumper. I've had the rear bumper off on both of them, and they're identical, except for the spacing of the license plate bolt holes.
