Does it have a good gear shift feel, as in does it make it any firmer? I am into road racing, so it is important for me to be able to "feel" the gear changes really well. Also , does it sometimes keep from engaging a gear and does it require any modification to the central console?

forbidden hasn't come out with a short shifter for the 5th gen ludes, but he's working on it. I say save up and wait for it to come out before buying an adapter... I've heard a lot of horror stories about adapters breaking.

Fidanza copied the DC Sports adapters almost exactly...

i have the dc adapter on my 4th gen and i love it.. only gripe was after about 5 months of use, my center console cracked near the shift boot. it would always push it up in the middle when i would be in 1st, 3rd, or 5th so i was expecting it sooner or later.. other than that it works just like its supposed to.

Those are okay, but the throws aren't what I expected. IMO, I can't really feel too much of a difference from the PSPEC and stock shifter. Hopefully 4Bidden can do something better

True.. I was not "wowed" at first either... but I've grown to like it more as the months past.. the throws are much shorter, which is a plus and the shifting feels more solid if you have a heavier shift ****

if you are in a 4th gen, there should be no reason you aren't using a forbidden SS
