Default Yo, new to the honda club.. 1 question

How's everyone, well I just recently bought a 91 integra coupe and im new to the honda/acura scene, I just had a quick question, the car has AC but the guy I bought it off toke off the AC belt.. im wondering if this will add more horsepower? im guessing yes because the engine isn't driving the AC compressor regardless if the AC is on or off... this question has probably been answered before but I thought i'd just make a new post since its my 1st time posting at this forum. Thanks in advance, and have a good one.

There isn't much of a noticeable difference. If you really want the full effect of disconnecting your a/c then you might as well remove all of its components so you can shave some weight as well.

Well weight savings is always good besides every little bit sounds so even if its like 1hp freed up then hey it still counts

Little teeny bit here, little teeny bit there...adds up sooner or later

ic.. yeah ill probably remove the rest of it when i get a chance.. i got other things to fix on it, need to swap in a new alternator because the old one is kinda of flaky, the guy I bought it off said you need to wack it to get it to charge the battery or else the battery light stays on.. its weird, bought a alt for 40 bucks though, need to go to kragen to make sure it works before I put it in. I also need to do some suspension work on the front driver side because the car was hit in the fender and the upper a arm got bent a little as long with a lower suspension bar which im not sure whats the name of it

Right but weight savings DOES make a difference, extremely subtle or not. If your not going to use the A/C you might as well take it off anyway. Its not going to do anybody any good just chilling there in the way.
