Default Extended wheel studs....

Ok so i've busted 2 studs on both sides <4 in total> on both front wheels.. Pep Boys is right up the street from my house an I kno that they sell the ARP Extended Wheel studs & lugs an while there i'd probably just have'm throw them on, but im curious... Does it really make that huge of a difference to put extended studs on or is sticking with stock studs just about the same difference.. I've heard pro's an con's on both extended an stock so if anyone could help me choose i'd be greatly appreciated.. Thanks...

They're pointless with stock wheels.

that's what i figured.. i knew they werent for performance or anything like that, just thought they were made of a better material than stock studs... Are there extra strength stock wheel studs or something like that, just an upgrade from the regular old autozone wheel studs, or is that just about the best ur gonna get besides ARP or Skunk2 studs..??

If you torqued your lugnuts properly, you'd never break your studs.

I've only ever broken one stud, and that's because some ******* cross-threaded the lugnut.

Well thats what happened, in a rush to get my wheels back on yesterday after my tranny swap i put the lugs back on with compressor an it cross threaded them <assholish i know> but hey we all make mistakes... Anywayz im tryna get some new studs in there an didnt kno if there was a huge difference in the ones u get from local auto parts store or more top name brand ones.. I'm checking them out right now an some websites asks me 1.850" U.H.L. or 2.850" U.H.L., whats that mean "UHL"...???
