Huh? How can something not arriving make it more rare than it already is without that item here currently? That makes no sense and isn't even true. ITRs being wrecked will the only thing that will make a set number of cars more rare (and thefts of course).

Yeah because now all the RSX-S owners are going to steal DC2-R's instead.. again this makes no sense at all and simply isn't true, just as EG owners wouldn't steal a DC5-R for parts that wont fit on their ****.

Ok here we go...if you are unable to buy a next generation TypeR then you will only have the option of buying a used first Generation R. As far as an RSX-S....NOT the same as a TYPE R integra and if you think so, I would recommend you driving both to compare.

 

No, it allows you to buy any number of cars. Used ITRs are still a used car, for those that want a new car there are a number of very nice new cars coming out finally that I'd rather own vs a used ITR. I said it would not make the car more rare, which it will NOT do. It *may* increase values slightly, but since ITR owners place severely bloated values on their cars currently, I doubt it.

Please quote me where I said they were the same thing (or just read the post correctly).

i.e. Lancer EVO, WRX STi, BMW Z5, and others will take up the slack

I agree with most of what R-Adr. is saying. I was thinking that if someone were to sell their R today they'd more than likely get more for it than if the RSX-R were here, for example, since it's the only Type R in the US. In other words, there may not be such high demands for DC2s if there was another iteration of the R. I've got to admit, if I were currently looking for a car, and I had to decide between a DC2 and a DC5, I'd probably opt for the latter. This doesn't necessarily make the DC2 more rare, but it would more than likely lower the value due to less demand. Supply and demand baby

Who's saying there's not going to be a Type R? Certainly not Acura -- they're saying the opposite in fact. I've read it in mags, and I asked at the NYC auto show last week and the guy said in about a year from now. Sure, they could change their minds -- but there's no reason to be pessimistic at this point.

PS I've also read there's going to be a CTR, but the Honda lady in NYC said she'd heard no such thing. I think she just didn't know what she was talking about.

well, i've read newspaper says RSX-R will be here sometimes next year or half a year, but at same time CIVIC TYPE_R will come with RSX-R. just think about this if they dont bring RSXtype-r the cant bring civic type r, coz after all civic still under name of honda and rsx is belong to acura, they will not make a honda civic faster the acura rsx-s, this way they wont make **** money. and wrx sti, evo VII, rx8. they all will be here soon, if honda dont bring civic type-r and rsxtype-r how the hell they gonna make money off young ppl??
