Hey guys im stumped, i am working ona 97 accord and there seems to be something loose in the back suspension. I already checked everything and nothing is loose. The noise is very annoying almost sounds like a wheel bearing is shot but the hibs are not loose. If you guys have any idea or have had the sam problem let me know, or fill me in on some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

 

thunking noise or bearing noise? when you say it sounds like a bad bearing, that would mean a constant whirring noise. rear sway bar bushings only need a little gap in them to make a thunking noise when going over bumps. shine a strong flashlight at one side of them and look for gaps

 

yes it sounds more like a thunking sound. Im gonna try checking all the bushings that way. Thanks for the idea. Anyone else?

 

Thats true. I've seen(heard) of lots of stab links make that noise. Thats the first thing i would look at. My second guess would be the strut mount.
