Hey everyone, I own a del Sol VTEC and replaced the stock rear swaybar with a 19mm suspension techniques bar. Has anyone heard of tearout from a 19mm bar on an eg subframe? All i have seen tear are ek's. I think this summer might call for an ASR brace installation. Where are the cheapest ones available?

 

you should be fine. if you want a bit more security, get a beaks kit.
running asr with a 19mm bar on your subframe wouldnt be ncessary. im pretty sure ive seen at least one person running itr (~80% stiffer) without reinforcement on your chassis... not something id recommend, but it can be done.

the asr is a bit overkill as i suspected. is the beaks kit a pretty good reinforcement?

 

beaks is a very capable reinforcement kit. you wold be fine with that on any bar up to and even past 22mm.

it doesnt cut it on ek, but since youre not ek that doesnt matter now does it.
