i cant get my alternator out of the car, i took off the mounting brackets that hold it and dont have enough clearance to get it out either up or down, anybody have the same problem, what will be the easiest way to get it out, so far all ive heard is that i have to remove the manifold, but dam...

 

YEA, 1 OF MY FRIENDS SAID TO UN BOLT AND MOVE THE MASTER CYLINDER,IV NEVER DONE IT LIKE THAT BUT HE SAID IT WAS "EASIER" CHECK IT OUT SEE WHAT HAPPENS

 

if i remove the cylinder will i have to purge my brakes, how easy is it to do?

 

I just pull the fuel rail and at the right angle it will barely make it out.

 

I pop the axle out. works well.

 

you can pull the axle which i did , and if you move the master leave the lines on just remove the 2 bolts from the brake booster you should be able to move it a couple inches then with the lines on, i have never done this to remove an alternator but its worth a try

 

undo motor mount and lift motor up

THANKS FOR THE IDEAS, I WENT WITH THE FUEL RAIL, EASIEST TO REMOVE AND HAD ENOUGH SPACE, ALSO I CAN UPGRADE THE RAIL WHILE IM AT IT THANKS...
