Civic needs a clutch, need input.
Ok so my clutch is just slipping now. Anyting I take the car past 4000rpm it just slips all the way to red, in any gear except for 5th. Same thing if I quick shift into a gear and floor it, it slips too much.
I'm looking at replacing it with a half decent clutch. Something easy to daily in and something relatively cheap. Seeing as this engine doesn't put out more then 130hp, I don't see the point of a 1000$ clutch, you know? I was looking on ebay at the XTD Stage 3 clutch, and I've read on a few DSM forums that theses clutchs are half decent, just bad flywheels. I need some input!
A noname aftermarket stock clutch is about 100$ around here, don't know what Honda wants for one, but I'm looking for better then stock.
Key word, Durability!

I got my Centerforce stage 2 pressure plate, clutch disc, and alignment tool for $189 shipped. I love it tons. Best investment evar. It'll grip no matter how high I rev it and choose to drop the clutch. Has put up with a **** ton of punishment and still over a year later acts like the day I bought it.
Once you get used to how fast it grabs, its perfect for a daily driver car.
p.s. do it properly and get the flywheel resurfaced.
