Default how light is the CRX HF?

i need a cheap car to put my engine in.
i was looking at 92-95 cxs their 2000-2100 lbs

are crx's below 2000?

a GSR swap into a CRX is it easier than a 92-95?
or requires modifications?

Depends what year. The 88hf is by far the lighest, then the 89, while the 90 and 91 weigh more. If you want to hit the best ets, get the 88.

88's RULE!....they are light you feel it. I've got a 91 Si and an 88 HF...world of difference. I have to admit the Si "feels" more stable, but the HF only wieght 1816 from the factory, I removed the A/C too. Tho i've upgraded the brakes, engine, and installed turbo. So It prolly weighs in at 1900 or so.

13s is possible.....you might need some drag radials but its do-able...you might want to get a 89-91 cuz the rear suspension is better

after I stopped driving the CRX a few months ago, I was able to cut out some things and take out more unnecessary parts. Most of it is lexaned now but I still drive it around once in a while.
Last weighed at 1450lbs 89HF without driver

My '88 DX hatch weighs 2100lbs with spare tire, jack and me in it ( I weigh 170lbs)
It may weigh a bit more now that I have a B-series in it.

is there any nice suspension setups with the 88's???
are their suspension anyway near similiar to the 90's hf's?

now im wondering about swaps, is it going to be harder installing?
and OBD 0 to OBD 1?

i want to get a car like it, half-strip it out and put two racing seats with harnesses
and have a daily drivable daily driver.

umm the 88 has the best suspension passive rear steering like teh jdm crx and teh tein coilover fit with no mods to the car.... the obd1 change can be easy if u get a harness from blown90hatch...

The weights of the lightest 1988+ CRXs are as follows:

1988 HF - 1819 pounds
1988 DX - 1922 pounds
1989 HF - 1834 pounds

As you can see, the 1988 DX weighs about 100 pounds more. But don't pass up a good deal on a 1988 DX if you can find one. The 1988 DX may be heavier. But unlike an SI (which has a sunroof that you can't get rid of), the 1988 DX can be lightened to 1988-1989 HF levels simply by swapping out some stuff (seats, bymber support, etc.) for lighter HF stuff. And even if you don't swap stuff out, the weight difference narrows considerably after doing a swap (due to adding larger knuckles, axles, brakes, etc.). Also, 1988 DX models seem to be MUCH easier to find than the 1988-1989 HF (as well as cheaper).
