what wire is this?
does anybody know what wire this is and why it gets verry hot when i put my wiper motor/ sunroof relay 15A fuse in i dont have a sunroof because its a dx but the wiper motor and everything works fine when i put the fues in but the fuse gets hot and pops
i tested the wiper motor and it worked fine and seems to be in perfect working order, i cant find anything wrong with the wireing from the wiper motor to the fuse box...
i need to get this working asap as the rainy season is comming here in florida and i need them more than anything so im gona rig a toggle switch to the wiper motor high position so i at least have them but i would like to fix this problem

Ok, I'm not exactly sure what that wire is, I'll have to look on my car in a little bit when I go to work on it. What exactly is the problem, it's just heating up a lot?
yea its getting realy hot but only when i put the wiper motor/sunroff relay fuse in it its suppost to have a 15a but had a 20a in it for some reason and actualy got so hot it melted the fues and the fuse box but i replced it thinking that was the problem but now i put the 15a in it and this wire gets hot before the fuse pops
when i unplug that plug the guage cluseter dont work and the car dont start but since its so this i doubt its for the wipers... so i think it might be for the sun roof since those are the only circuts running off that fuse and it only gets hot when that fuse is in...
it even gets hot when i have the wipers off

yeah those wires in that clip go to the ignition switch..they're soldered on some plate that gets screwed to where the key goes,,and im pretty sure the white/black is the main one,.....,i dont know the technical names..
The wiper motor might be shorting out somewhere. I know it sounds like a a bitch but make sure the wires aren't frayed somewhere and touching and grounding out causing more draw. sorry to hear about the fried fuse panel, not pimping, but as soon as you find that short bam. trace the wire. get a voltameter and check the voltage when you turn on the wiper, cross reference it to your manual. i'll go look at mine and see if it's something i can see. but keep us updated if you find the problem.
That is a small 15in long harnist that goes from the Ignishion switch to the fues block under the dash. If its geting hot all the time you might have a short in the fuel relay or power on relay. sometimes fues can go bad with out poping and can cause the wires to get hot and burn the car down
