I will be purchasing a 02' S2000 soon and I want to know if anyone here has done it? As you know may or may not know my '98 ITR got stolen and it's safe to say I want to take all the necessary security precautions!

Any info is greatly appreciated?

Your friends ITR did not have Immobilizer system to protect his car. All of the S2000's have it. Unless it is towed away it is almost impossible to steal.

 

To answer your actual question, I'm sure doing a fuel kill switch is just a matter of finding a good place to intercept the fuel pump power, and putting a switch in there. Plus, starter kills are a fairly common thing in aftermarket alarms, so I'm sure there's plenty of car audio places that have done those.

starter kills don't prevent someone from push starting your car though.

 

if they want to steal it bad enough, there is always a way.

 

nothing is impossible to steal. 00 GSR's and type R's get stolen all the time. havent' heard of any s2k's stolen yet, but these ****** thieves always find a way to **** up other peoples lives. i highly recomend that you put a kill switch.

look at it this way, the thief will not just steal your car. They will look good doing it. And look good get away afterward. And maybe get a few chicks with it.

I never hope stuff like that happend to people. nothing can prevent a thief if he's a pro. So get good insurance.

 

You mean the chip inside the key that trigger ECU working? ITR got it, but there is still way to do it.

 

I dont think them chipped key work.. I hear about ITR getting stolen all the time. What's up with it. Do they really work?

 

well, factory secuity already have a way to bypass it..... if u work in honda dealer long enough, u will know how to do it.
