Im trying to find pictures of a civic, or at least some extra knowledge, of a civic my dad used to own. it was a 4th gen hatchback, maunal, and it was white, and it had a blue interior, pinstripe down the side... all stock. anyone here know what im talking about? i know there are alot of knowledgable people her.

the special edition was esentially a DX, but it had cloth DX seats, rahter then vinal ones.

It also had a tach, and the famous lower audio console. This was all stock. The bumpers were colour matched, aswell as the mouldings, and mirrors.

I'll snag a pic of my wife's later on tonight. Ive only got shitty pics

Those pictures of that 89' arnt quite the same, (the stripes on the bottom are different) It was just a single, or double line running the length of the car. I'm looking forward to seeing what pics "slammedcivicsi" has

im canadian mine says SE on the back. nothing special really, i dont have the audio console thing or the tach. everthing els i have though.

 

oh and i have white hubcaps too. but its not the original colour cuz i think its been in an accident. it had mud flap but whoever painted it painted it with the flaps on so the original colour is under them.

You don't even have a tach? sounds like the equivalent of a DX model. What do you mean you have "everything else"? It sounds to me like your car has zero options.

 

I thougth SE stood for Sedan? I know I have seen the tail lights before that have the Special Edition on them.

 

i have the painted mirros, bumper, cloth seats, and the pin stripe running the length of the car. and it says special edition on the trunk. i dont have the special audio console, power windows locks, or a tach. maybe mines different from the american ones? i dont know. maybe someone put all that stuff on mine and mine wasnt a special edition originally. i dont know. but im pretty sure it is a special edition. not that it really matter. i just like that my car says special on it.

 

Cool man. Sounds like you've got the equivalent of a USDM DX, and AFAIK all sedans came with cloth interior. I've never seen one with vinyl.

 

That 4dr definatly has the same style pinstripe, is the interior blue? my father had the tech, power windows, locks, blue interior, and I honestly think I remember a sunroof... but I cant be certain., maybe Im just crazy ahah

 

Some of the SEs had a pop-up sunroof.
But as mentioned the SEs weren't really that "special", it was essentially a DX with painted mirrors, mouldings, an Si front lip, and the optional audio console.

At least thats the Canadian ones, my cousin used to have one, he said it wasn't that cool at all.

 

Mostly what I thought was special was the blue interior, it wasnt a navy blue, or dark blue, but almost the same shade as the windows xp tool bar. Just curious if anyone else has seen it. My dad bought it new, so no chance of a custom or anything.

 

my interior is blue. this is the only pic iv got and its only a pic of the center dash car really isnt that special at all. i dont have the si front lip either. and i added a tach cuz i was too lazy to find a cluster with a tach in a junk yard.
