Default broken timing belt

Hi, I'm new here. I mostly play around with rusting British junk but occaisionally get ahold of a more "normal" car. Anyway, I have done a top end in an '85 Accord and a motor in a '89 Civic. I'm not a Honda expert but they are easy to work on. Recently I purchased a '90 Accord with a broken T-belt and need some advice. I've got the top end off the car expecting to find bent valves. Not a mark anywhere in any of the carbon on the pistons. None of the valves appear to be bent either.(then again I've found bent ones while lapping that I couldn't see any bends in, in the past)Are the 2.2's an interference fit motor? From what I've found online they are. I was going to just put a new belt on it and do a comp test, but since the crank bolt is fighting me and the former owner told me the motor was toast, I figured I'd tear into it and see. I hammered the bolt with my CP 1/2" drive @ 140 psi and it no move. I'm borrowing a 3/4" on Monday. What do you guy's think?

Yes, but that doesnt mean they will bend valves. Most of the single cam motors usually dont.

Before you put the head back on do a leak test by filling the intake/exhaust ports with solvent and see if any of the valves let it pour thru.

Whoohoo, got it back together! I checked all the valves with solvent, none are bent. The cylinder walls actually still had hone marks, from 190k ago! I borrowed my nieghbor's Uber-Impakt and broke the bolt loose using 150 psi line air. Only other problem was the tensioner nut. Water pump was shot, but not leaking and the balance shaft belts had cracks in it big enough to see from across the room. It was only a matter of time... Anywhoo, it runs really good. It has a ticking valve that needs to be dealt with, other than that, I'm happy. Thanx guys!
