i just bought a 92 accord today with the only KNOWN problem being that it leaked tranny fluid due to a bad seal where one of the axles goes in. i filled up the tranny right before driving it to my house. it hesitates a little to go into gear when driving and when you come to a stop, it shudders for like 6-10 seconds. i just wanna know if this is or can lead to a serious problem later on, im going to fix the seal today, so it will have tranny fluid at all times. car has 250k miles, miles on motor are unsure, but im going to assume 250k as well.
With the engine running and car in park, step on the brake and see if the RPM drops; more than 100 RPM drop will usually mean a vacum leak. It could be worth the effort to clean the throttle plate as well.

it only does it when you are at a complete stop, but not when you first turn the car on. i was messing around with the ac when i turned the car on earlier (never took the car out of park) though and it started doing it then too, but when i turned it off completely (ac off, and fan off) it ran like its supposed to.

heres the latest due to getting used to the cars behavior: in park, it doesnt drop below 1grand/shudder unless the fan is on, and when the ac and fan is on, it does it worse. in reverse/neutral/drive(s) it starts shuddering and drops below 1 grand at a complete stop only, other than that it runs fine for its milage.
