Which one? 88 or 89-91? The 88 have a 21 spline shaft while the 89-91 have a 20 spline shaft, all depends on the kind of clutch and flywheel you have.

 

i do. but the 3rd gear synchro is dead. btw, i have a 1990.

 

I have an 88. Third gear would be a problem on this one too. It still worked when I took it out.

I have a 5 speed tranny for the 90 crx si for free if you come get it...it had some noise like gear noise when I pulled it out...maybe bearings? anyway Im going to throw it away if you dont want it

 

Ive got one out of a 88 CRX Si w/150K on it... shifted fine before i pulled it. Im in Maryland though...

 

if you get that uys 90 , i will sell my 88 si input shaft and you can use his.the gears are interchangable.iv'e done it.that is why i have the 88 si shaft left over.i had to switch to a 90 for clutch purposes.drop me an email if your interested.

 

I have one from an 88. I think it was good, the motor was blown, so I took a motor and trans from a 91 si hatch and put in it. yota1man@hotmail.com

 

I have a 91 Si tranny. It has around 100k miles but never ever did it grind in my 3 years of driving it. Let me know.
