So Ive got a d16a6 motor in my 88 crx si, I had a venom intake manifold on here until today, couldnt take the idle aymore so Im taking it off and swapping it for this hogged out ( i bleieve d16a6 manifold )




Now It has the iacv on the left, and the air intake temp on the very far left, but wtf is the thing in the middle?, it has a plug on it, I dont have a connector for it though do I? Im pretty sure Ive only got a plug for the intake temp sensor and the tps

I also have NO idea what that big brass barb on th eleft side of the pic is for, can anyone tell me?

 

thats your fast idle valve.

the brass thing is for your brake booster vacume

below that in air intake temp.

 

looks like a purge valve to me(88 is on the firewall), take a better pic so we can see where the hose goes. my fast idle valve looked different

 

bump, i dont have a plug for this sucker

 

just leave it dissconected then. no harm done. only used in VERY cold starts. like 10oF and down.

fast idles didnt come on the 88 si's either. so that manifold is from 89-91
