Default need suspenion advice

ok you all might laugh but i really dont know anything about suspension. i have spent the last 2 years reading in the FI forum so bear with me.

my goal is to build a 12 second daily driver. im almost there. my car is in the mid 13's right now with ebay coilvers, blown struts, and bushings that rattle like crazy. so what should i get for daily driving and track racing every few weekends?

-full adjustable coilovers?
-suspension bushing kit?
-front and rear sway bars?

i need some name brands, whats good and bad? this is my daily driver so i want it to handle awsome in the city but yet be good for the track. any ideas?

thanks for reading

first and foremost i would suggets losing the ebay kit. (one of those $40 shipped ones im assuming) the quality is questionable at best, with unknown spring rates and a decent possibility of breaking under stress.

how aggressivly do you drive on the street and in corners? if you keep the horsepower on the track, whatever you have stock as far as swaybars should be fine. they increase the effective spring rate in cornering, without affecting ride quality. they are also pretty heavy, not necessarily something someone who lives his life in a straight line 1/4 mile at a time needs.
depending on how stiff a ride you can tolerate, a high rear spring rate will keep your 60' times down by preventing squat on launch. omni makes a set of drag coilovers, rears only, with 20k springs ~1000lb/in. murderously uncomfortable on the street, but they serve a purpose. a set of ground controls will be a good middle ground, if you gice GC a call they will discuss your application and recommend rates for your application. match those with a good set of koni yellows and you have a damn good daily setup that will function pretty well at the track. the ots koni valving is good for somewhere in the neighborhood of 600lb/in, which yould be pretty bad on the street as far as comfort is concerned.

good luck with your project!

yea, my suspension is brutel. i figured i could loose 3/10 of a second with good suspension and another 3/10 in some good tires which would break me into the 12 second range hopefully.

im not that aggressive on the street. i just want something smooth for when i go over train tracks or ruts in the road when i drive my 90 year old grandma to the doctor a few times a week. she says its a stiff ride. i dont race on the street, just track so could i get like a sport spring suspension for city and then just swap springs before the track?

why are people going with ITR control arms? is the stock sway bar i have good enough? does anyone make a rear sway bar? and lastly, where can i get new bushings all around. that is going to be a pain in the ***. i will also get front and rear camber kits. because right now im slammed 3" in the front and my wheel have so much toe in they are hardly hooking up.
