moonroof rattle...

when it is open at all, it rattles towards the front. anyone familiar with the mechanism? have you had probs with this? Thanks...jart

mine rattles like crazy, i usually just turn down my stereo and its not as bad. no idea how to fix it though =P

just get a 5th gen sunroof conversion done and you never have to worry about that anymore....

i concur

i love mine so much. check the mounting bracket bolts see if they are screwed tight. also might put some rubber washers on them to reduce vibrations.

eh my 5th moonroof chatters while moving on the track and makes a loud clap like sound when it closes.... I've greased it and taken it to the dealer and it does'nt help. No rattles at all tho.

I have the same problem when Im driving on bad roads. When I push up on it, it stops. Wonder what that could be.

probably just old age of part. clearances of parts is getting bigger causing the parts to rattle. maybe spraying some thick grease in there will act as a damper.
