bought a universal worldsport2 exhaust and sounds ricey! wtf?
alright guys here's the deal, i decided that I don't like loud exhausts. I bought a universal worldsport2 muffler hoping it would quiet it down. I went to a muffler shop and had them install it and it looks nice, really really nice but sounds like complete ****. It sounds worse than my old muffler, it sounds exactly rice.
My original exhaust was a tsudo and it didn't sound bad, it was just loud and i got tired of loud exhausts. It came with a resonator but my car sounds like it doesn't have one. My friend had a crx with an apex'i n1 universal muffler with custom piping, no resonator and sounds exactly like my car. I've had the resonator for 2 years so i guess all the material inside are worn out or something.
I asked the muffler shop guy to install a resonator and he recommended to me that I get a resonator from a toyota/lexus/scion because they have better material and will quiet down the exhaust alot. I've seen some other resonators for about $65 around here and i'm wondering if i should get that and have him install it or go for the toyota/lexus resonators? I really can't stand the way my exhaust sounds, its killing me everyday i drive it haha

had the same exhaust on my old 97 accord. its nothin with a resonator or anything. i wasn't payin attention when i ordered my apex'i ws2 and got the universal. <U>problem</U>= universal ws2 piping is 80mm, car piping is 60mm. needless to say there is the reason for the ricey sound. also...that muffler is goin since the wife drives that car now..since i got an em1.
