Default clutch cable help

I just swapped a new transmission, new clutch and new flywheel into my Girlfriends ef hatch. There was a loud pop after putting only 160 miles on the clutch car stalled on a hill. I push the car home and find the cable all loose, so I replace it. The new cable had to be tightened all the way to take up the slack and now the clutch disengages at the floor. My question is if it is normal for a new clutch to be tightend that much and where should the clutch start grabing?disengageing?

Thanks in advance.

I think we need to swap clutch cables, mine is the exact opposite. Adjusted all the way out and almost no play.
