new member here going to replace the valve cover gaskets on 86 2.0 anything i should know or to look for thanks

 

Be careful not to tighten the cap nuts too tight. They torque to only 7 ftlbs. The little studs snap easily = more problems. Why are you changing the gasket? Oil in the spark plug tubes?

 

an 86 doesn't have spark plug tubes
That's one of the easiest ones to do
Is this a carb model or fuel injected?

 

it is a carb model and i can see oil leakin just got the car and want to stop the leak and look under for a tapping noise i am sure i will have ? latter thanks

 

YES! i have oil in three of my tubes all the way up to where i can just see the silver tip but been driving like that 4 years doesnt seem to run funny i think i gonna change them on the 15th so good thing i seen this post that must be the problem! oh ya 94 accord F22B2 SOHC NON VTEC auto 167K
