I was wondering if anyone ever took off the stock air box and just used the piping and stuck a filter on the end. Will a AEM 2.5inch pipeing adapt to the stock piping? cuz thats what im planning on doing.

 

are you serious??? man these kind of ?'s make me sad .okay why dont you just get a K&N filter for your stock airbox and just take of the res on the air box

alot of people run stock tubing with k&n filer but its even worse than stock cuz stock air box acts as a heat sheild

Im only asking the question because the SI im gonna buy doesn't have the stock airbox but a cheap cone filter. I have a spare AEM filter so i was just wondering if it could fit on the stock intake tubing with a AEM 2.5 inch piping as an adapter.

 

It will work, but you'd be better off in the long run finding a used airbox and using that or just buying a complete intake.
