I've got a 97 gs and i'm trying to pull out the tail lights so i can access some screws so i can take off my rear bumper does anyone know how to do that?

 

Should be around .. 7-8nuts holding them on per side, you have to take off your plastic covers in the back.

 

why don't you just remove the bumper bolts? wouldn't that make more sense?

 

if i remeber correct, i dont think u need to take the tail light out to take the bumper off.

That is correct. There are two screws or bolts, ( can't remember at the moment ) one on each side of the rear bumper and then there are some other nuts you have to remove ( 3 I think ) behind the plastic rear panel.

 

There's like 4 or 6 in side the trunk, 2 underneath, and 2 at the ends.
