Default RSR Catback Installed.......Worth Every Penny. 5thGen

I have had:

Custom with magna flow muffler.
5-Zigen Fireball
Tanabe Hyper Medalion
Tanabe Racing Medalion
Tanabe Ultra Medalion

Not in that order.

And the RSR Exmag wins hands down for daily driving.

I have all my low end torque BACK. Lost some high coming from the Ultra medalion.

My current setup:
AEM CAI
Weapon R 4-2-1
High flow cat

Having the Ultra Medalion was Great but I had little low end but the car came alive at 5000rpms or over. Its great for straight line racing and freeway high speeds. But around town I was just sick of being so damn LOUD.

I was looking at Apexi WS2, Greddy SP2, or RSR Exmag. I went with the exmag because how clean it looked. I didn't want a chrome can anymore.

I will post pics later today.

Good to hear, I had the exact same experience, went through a few different exhausts, and finally settled on the Exmag, NEVER going back!

Each ExMag system is custom tailored for each application. The ExMag muffler can be either a straight through, loop or chambered design.

Signature RS-R TipThe ExMag's quiet, refined tone coupled with the performance gains found in an aftermarket system creates an exhaust system perfectly designed for the street. By bolting up an ExMag system to your vehicle, you immediately notice the gains in HP, torque and throttle response. It does not take a loud exhaust system to produce the power that you are looking for, and the ExMag is evidence to that.

interpret it as you wish.

409 rusts more easily than 304. Its a low-grade stainless. Some RSR owners have reported rust after a few years although most haven't had any problems yet.

I always seem to have to make a lot of short trips so its rust from the inside (rust that you can't see) that I'm worried about. The RSR is awfully pricey to only be made of 409.

Any reason why you have never tried Mugen? Sound or price?

Mugen would be nice....But price is Tooo much. Also I won't buy used Mugen parts so again PRICE.

I would have went with Mugen. I really would lika a Mugen Header and Exhaust.

But I have car payments, Mortage, etc. I just couldn't justify it.

Why wouldn;t you buy used MUGEN parts?! As long as they were taken care of, it's a great deal. You buy a used exhaust for $600, and you can sell it for that much when you part out your car. It's what I did.

Sorry for the Delay and Crappy pics. I will get better ones soon. Haven't had time to drive to a location to take pictures.

Also I had to hang the muffler about 1/2 and inch lower than normal otherwise it would rub on my OEM lip. I used polyurithane yellow exhaust hangers. They have 3 settings for height adjustment.

I had to ghetto rig my hangars to make it clear the rear lip. It fitts a lot closer then yours but it looks good.

Is there site.

EXH 011 Universal, cut to length

I ordered them from SPA Technique, Inc

TOOK a lot of searching a year ago to find different types of hangers and so on. But I did it so I would'nt have this problem without a solution ready.
