Default Question about installing a aftermarket headunit for generation 7 accord

Has anyone taken out their original 6 disc regular w/o navi head unit out that has the dual climate control and replaced it with a aftermarket head unit or navigation? If yes what is the setup?

The problem with replacing the radio completely is that the aftermarket climate controls look like crap. Well, at least in my opinion. As you can tell, if you pull out the stock radio, you have no choice but to pull out the OEM climate controls, uless you hack everything up and do some kind of custom setup.

The other option is to install the aftermarket unit in the storage pocket beneath the climate controls. There's a kit available to do this...

Well, keep in mind it's just my opinion, but I think it looks better than the aftermarket climate controls.

The kit is made my Metra I believe. You should be able to Google it. Crutchfield should have it. I'll see if I can find some pics of other people's install.

Right on. Crutchfield DOES have this even if you can not find it online. It is much nicer as your dash looks completely stock. Only difference is your radio switches don't do a thing. It is all controlled from below and you get to keep everything looking real nice.

Go to v6p.net and check out the Accord gallery. I'm sure you will see some.

Disclaimer: That site sucks and all people want to do is put 20s on Accords and have no mechanical knowledge at all. You are warned.
