I hooked up green/black to green/black and yellow to yellow from the transmission reverse solenoid deal to the wires at the console section. My reverse lights do NOTHING.

What am I missing? There's a lone yellow wire hanging out from the engine harness down where the auto transmission used to be. Do I need to wire this in somehow?

I desperately need to get this car to pass inspection by the end of today!

 

And yes the reverse light fuse is good.

 

damm no one showing you love huh??...lol i cant recall wat the yellow wire is for, but try taking the reverse solinoid from the auto transmission off and putting it on the manual....not too sure but it should be the same thing....some times the solidnoid can go bad....or take the two off anc compare to see if they're the same first....good luck

 

The problem was with the reverse solenoid. I took the rubber cap off of the top, and the green and yellow wires were just dangling around inside of it. The soldered connections had broken loose and they weren't making contact. Soldered them back up and it's good as new now. Reverse lights are working perfect.
