Default pistons - have them coated or not?

I'm getting ready to order some Endyn rollerwave FI pistons and there is a price difference of $150 for coated. Is it really worth the expense? What are the benefits?

They are for a b20vtec that will run as much as 28 psi of boost

Endyn charged my B17 buddy $80.00 for coating the pistons. That was last week, so I don't think their prices could have gone up that much?

well i had my pistons thermal coated too, its kind of a better be safe then sorry type of situation, you cant really see whats goin on in the cylinders at all times but if you do have a problem i beleive from what i have heard of the thermal coatings that you have another barrier against damage.....its not large, but its something

the coatings arent gonna protect from damage.
They SHOULD help prevent detonation though.

thats technically what i meant.....but it didnt come out right

basically the less heat in the cylinders the less likely you are to detonate
