Default carbon fiber hood?

Are carbon fiber hoods worth the money Aprrox. $500. They look awesome, especially on pearl white ludes.....lol, but how much weight do you save/performance increase and is it worth the hassle of storing your stock hood?

$500? What kind of hood?

Make sure you don't get it off eBay

It's subjective.

There is no performance gain other than saving about 50lbs or so. If you think that's worth it, as well as for style then go for it. I say EBAY hoods are fine. I got my for 350 shipped to my door prompty and almost a perfect fit, nothing I can't fix and still no problems what so ever other than it fading which all CF will do.

I've got a friend who can get them wholesale, like $150-200 for VIS grade A. But he can't get one for me, kinda sucks

If you have the money and want awesome looks, definitely pick up a CF hood, maybe even a trunk, eyelids, spoiler, roof spoiler, door handles, etc Nah just kidding, the hood would look awesome on a white prelude.
