Default what do you know!!!, a custom made center vent pod 4 my 93 civic!

well, i was bored this week so i got creative. i've always visualized putting gauges where the center vent is, so i finally made a pod. still needs to fit the gauges(which i'm pretty sure it will work out), prime & paint, which i plan on doing today.
anyway, let me know what you guys think.

enjoy!

Look nice. Now paint it and mount it, and then snap another shot.

That's a cool alternative place to mount them instead of the a-pillar.

I don't like aftermarket gauges to be visable so I was thinking on taking that vent and making it a "dummy" and having the gauges pop out from underneath... similar to the last generations sentra pocket thank flips up. Either that or just stick them in my glovebox and open it when i need to see/monitor them.

Post some pictures of the finished project!

the center top vent is useless anyway. when you have it open it just weakens the flow of all the other vents.

...the pod looks good at this point...but we need to see the pics of it mounted and painted.

Good call, defi's don't make your car any faster, and autometers look good too. Save the money for where it counts! Good looking pod btw.

thanks guys for your support and positive comments. earlier today before i made this thread, i fitted in my car and it looked good, just forgot the camera, and unfortunatly i went out to buy a dummy gauge and once again forgot the camera (i have 2 kids that my mind is always on) , but i do have new pics with a gauge installed.

i only bought this one gauge because it was the cheapest. i am actually planning on buying the phantom face, but i just wanted to give you guys an idea how the gauge will look. i plan on sunday priming, painting and installing it into my dash.
then i would post some more pics for you guys to see.

enjoy!!

oh, by the way, if you guys have some helpful hints on how to size these pics up, let me know. i am currently using IFRANVIEW to resize my pics, at 2592x1944.
